  • When is the election for House District 62?

In 2026, the Midterm General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3.

Members of the Indiana House are elected every two years.

  • Why is this election so important?

Republicans in the Indiana House have held a “supermajority” of more than 2/3 of seats since 2012.

In 2025, Republicans hold 70 seats and Democrats hold 30..

Because Indiana House and Senate maps were drawn by and tend to favor Republicans, these legislators often aren’t challenged and hold safe seats. The Republicans in the Indiana House can decide issues essential to Hoosiers behind closed doors, without public hearings, and influenced by big business donors.

Democrats believe that all voices should be heard.

The voters in District 62 are divided nearly equally between the two parties, giving Democrats a good chance of winning in 2026. I will work hard to flip this race so we can break the Republicans’ supermajority and bring back transparency in the Statehouse.
